28 Weeks after the Rage Virus has infected London, rebuilding begins with the assistance of the US Army. When the virus re-enters the fortified city, the survivors must escape their killers, both human and infected.
28 Weeks after the rage virus infected everyone in Great Britain, the U.S. Army inspects the city of London and announces that the city is now safe, because the virus has burnt itself out. The army begins to clean up London and brings in British refugees who were not infected. They are all quarantined on an island near the wharf in London. Don (Robert Carlyle) was able to escape the infected zombies, but his wife Alice (Catherine McCormack) became a victim of the rage. Don is reunited with his two children who were abroad on a camping trip during the outbreak. Unfortunately for the new population of London, the virus is not totally dead; it only takes one person to start the process all over again.
The one person is none other than Don's wife Alice who was bitten by an infected boy when her village was attacked. Now that the family is reunited... the terror begins.
